What removal includes

We protect floors and furniture, wet or scrape the texture as the ceiling allows, and haul the debris. After the popcorn is gone, the ceiling usually needs skim or sanding so it does not telegraph every joint. Then primer and paint if that is in the same job. Ceilings are not part of the $1 per square foot wall offer unless your estimate says they are.

Older popcorn can contain asbestos. We do not test materials in a lab and we do not claim every ceiling is clear. If the house age or the look of the texture raises a question, we will pause and talk through testing before we scrape. That is the honest path. We will not invent a certificate we do not have.

Process and mess

Popcorn removal is dusty work even when it is done carefully. We bag debris, cover returns, and clean the room so you can use it again the same day when the schedule allows. A typical bedroom ceiling is often a one- to two-day sequence once we start; vaulted rooms and heavy texture take longer. Timeline is on the estimate.
