A Celina painter has to know when they are on the square and when they are in Mustang Lakes. Downtown still has older wood, smaller rooms, and neighbors who can see a sloppy porch. The new villages are production brick and fiber-cement with HOA palettes, closer to Prosper than to 1990s McKinney. We walk the actual house. The quote follows that walk, not the zip code.

Interior painting in Celina

New Celina interiors are builder beige, knockdown, and two-story entries that show every cut line. Older Celina interiors near the square can have odd additions, original trim you may want to keep stained, and popcorn. We do not bid those as the same day of work. Furniture stays covered. You get a walk-through, not a text that says we are done.

Exterior painting in Celina

New Celina exteriors are west-sun fade on dark HOA colors, same as Frisco. Downtown exteriors are prep: old wood, old caulk, porches. Hail and clay still hit both. Exterior quotes are from a walk-around. The interior wall price does not apply to siding or a historic porch.

We estimate in Mustang Lakes, Cambridge Crossing, Light Farms (the Celina side), and the streets around the downtown square. Mustang Lakes is master-planned. The square is lot-by-lot. Farm roads still turn into new phases between visits. Tell us which Celina you live in. The prep is not the same.

If you bought in a new phase off 380, ask the superintendent who will actually be in the house, how they cover the stair tower, and whether Sherwin Williams is in the quote. If you are on the square, ask about prep on wood and whether the last coat was primed. Those are different conversations. We will have both of them with you before anyone opens a can.

Celina HOA considerations

Mustang Lakes, Cambridge Crossing, and Light Farms expect exterior approval: listed colors, unpainted brick, an application before the front door changes. We paint to the list you provide. Downtown Celina is more often city rules than a suburban HOA. If you are on the square, check before we schedule the exterior. Interior paint is yours.

Common home styles

Most new Celina houses are two-story brick and stone with fiber-cement accents, built in the 2010s and 2020s. Downtown is smaller wood and older brick. You can see farmland from some new back yards. Inside, new villages are open-concept; old Celina is not.

Local climate considerations

Celina sits on the same prairie clay, with less tree cover on new streets, so UV on west walls is harsh. New dark palettes fade. Open dirt lots next door mean more dust on fresh exterior paint. We spec Sherwin Williams for the substrate in front of us and we do not paint in a dust storm for the calendar.

Celina ISD and the 380 widening are why so many of these houses are new. That also means a lot of first paint cycles: builder primer, builder beige, and exterior colors picked from a packet the HOA mailed at closing. We would rather get the first homeowner coat right than chase a cheap job that peels in two summers.
